We Often Talk About People with Limits without Looking in Our Mirrors

One thing that always amazes me is when some self-help guru tells everyone else to live without limits and then sets limits of their own, albeit, higher limits. Does this mean that we all set limits for ourselves. And if the sky is not the limit then is the ground? There are natural laws, which we must obey, there is gravity for instance. You do believe in gravity don't you? I hope so.

Now then, I have listened to all the tapes, read all the Success, Goal Setting Books there are, for many years and this "Personal Limits" thing is somewhat bothersome to me. You see, many people have set up barriers and have personal limits, I am just not one of them. When you discuss personal limits with me, you need to look inward not outward. I have no limits. I decry limits and well, you should too.

Limits are the same as excuses they just seem more concrete and are perceived, as real excuses and justifications by those that make them. Any good aerospace engineer will tell you that yes, gravity is a great force, but with enough money, the right materials and enough power, you can overcome it, and they do, often in fact.

"I have a hard time with understanding limits, which is I guess my only limitation?" - Lance 07'

See there, I do have a limit, I cannot comprehend these limits you set for yourself as barriers that are uncross able in your mind, in my mind I see a challenge, not a barrier or limit. Perhaps you might see my point of view, because I cannot see yours, and will not go there, it does not exist for me, I have that as my one limit, a place I will not go - join me!
